Rafting Season for 2016 has come to an end.
Unfortunately, the Upper Kern River has slowed down significantly and the season for rafting has come to an end. Our peak this year was 2500 CFS (cubic feet per second) and we couldn’t be more excited to have these higher water flows this year! We’ve made lots of great memories and experiences out on the river with all the awesome guests that we had the opportunity to take boating. Nearly every weekend from the peak of the season, over 100 guests went down each day.
The Start of Tubing Season
The end of rafting season means the beginning of inner tubing trips. The water level is low enough now to safely take single person inner tubes down the river. SoCal Rafting offers a 2-hour guided paddle tubing trip that runs the same section of the river as the rafting tour. After your first trip down the river, you can keep the tube for the day and go down by yourself and use our free shuttles!
It’s going to be a fun, relaxing end of the summer for Kern River Rafting. You can book tubing trips with us by going online to kernrivertubing.com We’re looking forward to seeing all the River Rats out on the Kern!
Is it Spring 2017 yet?
